The Northern Virginia Cerebral Palsy Support Group was founded with the intent of providing support, both virtually and in in person, to families whose children share a similar condition.

Mayya Saab graduated from George Mason in 1988 with a B.A. in International Affairs. She then joined the Peace Corps after which she pursued a career in IT. Most recently, Mayya managed her own software consulting firm along with her life partner. Mayya lives in Northern Virginia along with her family – her daughter has Cerebral Palsy. While dealing with her daughter’s condition, Mayya gained knowledge and built a network of resources related to Cerebral Palsy. In talking to parents with similar experiences, she realized that there was a need for familial support so that those families can share their stories and resources with the goal of assisting and supporting each other.
For resources and support dealing with your younger child, we have teamed up with this local group: www.cerebralpalsysupportgroup.org
